MOSCOW, Apr 26 (PRIME) – Venezuela’s political situation has not impacted Rosneft’s operations in the country, a spokesperson for Rosneft told PRIME on Wednesday.
Reuters news agency said that global oil companies, including Statoil and Repsol, are reducing their staff in Venezuela amid mass protest campaigns, which started on April 4 after the Supreme Court restricted power of the national assembly opposed to the government.
Rosneft is participating in a number of oil production projects in Venezuela in cooperation with local PDVSA.
